ruby.

This little newborn was nicknamed Ruby by her older sister when she found out she was going to have a little sister. Even though this is not her name she continues to call her Ruby and throughout our session, I couldn't help but call her Ruby too. I love it and think it is so cute how this nickname continues. It took us a couple attempts to pull off these sibling shots but it was well worth it!!!

pink.

It was well worth the wait!!! Baby m had her own schedule in mind during our photo session and made us all hold out until the very end before putting on her best performance. I love the softness in her lips and how they match her pink blanket... absolutely precious!

baby t.

This little man basically slept through the entire session! He is just so precious and has wonderful parents who were glowing with joy.

curly.

I loved this handsome man's curly blond hair! It was great working with another senior and wonderful to photograph a guy... it forces me to switch gears a little and think of different poses. He was great to work with and open to anything.

hair.

Just look at all of baby j's hair! I love it and couldn't get enough of this sweet little man. Holding him was my favorite part!!! I have many upcoming newborn sessions and cannot wait to meet all these new little people.

delightful.

Have I ever told you how much I heart senior sessions? This young lady was such a delight and she has such a beautiful personality. She is full of gorgeousness and I love her intense eyes! After my maternity leave I really hope to tap more into the senior market and advertise more in this area... I always have such a blast!

Look... I even got a little sun flare for a way cool effect!

magnetic.

What a fantastic session! Not only did I get to photograph two of my favorite people but they were so relaxed and just did their thing. I love little miss m's toothless smile and mr. c's magnetic giggles.

Hmmm... not sure why my boarders are all funky. Oh, well!

Love you guys! See you Saturday.

look who's 4.

On 8.8.08 my baby turned 4! I just cannot believe how fast these past 4 years have gone and it makes me want to cherish every moment... like this one. He came out of his room this morning with his hair full of gel, his snow boots on and still wearing his pj's. Running through the house he started playing with his birthday toys. His laughter caught my attention and I knew this was a moment I had to document. Happy Birthday Brandon!

awaiting.

It is so fun being pregnant at the same time as your friends! We are due one day apart (trust me... I don't look this good) and I cannot wait to meet this little man. Such a beautiful momma-to-be!

I just couldn't get enough of these two cuties! Such amazing blue eyes and beautiful smiles. We had a beautiful morning for the session and they were a joy to photograph.

so handsome.

Another great session down at the Old Market. I just can't get enough of that place... so many amazing backgrounds and what a great place to explore new options. I photographed this little man last year and now he is back for his 6 year portraits. His smile just melts my heart and draws me in to each photograph.

brothers.

These two brothers make me smile! I love sibling sessions and the opportunity to photograph older children. Getting them to not give me their fake smiles is always a challenge, however, despite the heat and the million mosquitoes we managed to pull it off.

In older children, I find that the focus and story of a beautiful photograph tends to fall on the eyes instead of the smile. They are much more intense and the eyes are what draw you in. Where as, in a younger child, you can't help but fall in love with those innocent giggles. I love the difference between these two brothers and enjoyed getting to know them.
