a new stage.

Well, my birthday is pretty much over. But, what a great day. New haircut and my husband surprised me with an hour long, much needed, massage!!! Now, feeling older but much more refreshed.

This beautiful family below has had some trying health issues over this past year. However, things are going great now and it was an honor photographing this stage in their lives. Big brother was on the move and he sure was quick! I enjoyed our conversation and their fun family energy.

So, since I am 30 today (oh good Lord... seeing it in actual print is giving me a bit of anxiety while I type)... This little one melted my heart and slept so soundly throughout the entire session. We tried to get her to wake for a few open eyed shots but she was not having it! She is just so precious and was so much fun to work with.

I had another terrific family session last week with this group. Super fun kids, great parents and a beautiful summer day. I have the best job... just look at these cuties!

This little princess was such an excellent sleeper! I wish you could have seen the behind the scenes from this first shot posted... let's just say daddy had a lot of cleaning up to do. :)



Check out the ring on her tiny little finger. It's been passed down through many generations.

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful group of children all within 3 hours! Our time together was short but I enjoyed the various personalities and character each child had to offer. I definitely received a workout... getting the attention of 18 children is not an easy task. However, I enjoyed each minute and had a great time.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial weekend and found time for family and friends. We spent the weekend with my in-laws in Yankton so I am just now getting back to proofing sessions and posting sneak peaks.

I photographed this beautiful mommy-to-be last week and I am so excited to meet their baby girl in June. Just look at that glow... so pretty.
