I had the opportunity to photograph some family this past weekend. I'm sure they thought I was crazy when I told them to jump with their hands in the air in the middle of this field! It's always a little more tricky getting adults to be comfortable in front of the camera so doing some silly stuff is always a great way to capture some laughter.

Little miss A is growing up so quickly! It seems like just yesterday when she was curled up on her parent's furniture for her newborn portraits. Time is just slipping by so quickly this year and watching these little ones grow is such a gift. Baby A is now sitting up and it won't be long before her parents let go of those tiny hands and she takes off running towards her dreams.

It is always such a joy when I get to see how my clients have changed over the year and to photograph them again at their next milestone. This time... there was a new addition and he is just perfect! Little miss A was so proud of her new baby brother.

portrait party '08.

Well... I took the leap and completed my first portrait party! I had a wonderful host who organized the event, completed the session schedule and gathered all the participants. I had no idea what to expect from this event and had my worries due to my 29 week pregnant belly and photographing 16 children in such a short period of time. BUT... I could not have walked away more pleased. All of the children and parents were so great and the hard part now is narrowing down all my shots to only 10 per family!!! It was such a hot day so I do believe the next time I conquer another portrait party I will NOT be pregnant and would prefer the cooler weather that Fall brings. :)

Another beautiful mommy-to-be! She was amazing and just glowing with the excitement of meeting her new baby boy soon. I have had so many maternity sessions lately which makes me even more excited for all the upcoming newborns to photograph.

When I look through these images all that comes to mind is... WOW! What a beautiful mommy to be with such a gorgeous family. I fell in love with little miss E and couldn't stop taking her picture! They all have such great personalities and it was a pleasure documenting this amazing time in all their lives.
